Meet Esra Ozkan

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ezra Ozkan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Ezra, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

As a curator of digital arts, I frequently encounter challenges in my work. The exhibition installation nights are the first. When I encounter technical issues, I attempt to remain calm, analyze the problem, and find solutions. Because we live in time, my team and I usually aim to find quick answers in the most challenging situations. Another issue in my profession is providing the ideal display experience to the audience. As a result, I focus on exhibitions by considering the audience’s experience for 3-6 months before to the exhibition. You should carefully consider what you tell them and how you make them feel.

In addition, I also pay attention to the overall aesthetics and flow of the exhibition space. It is important to create a cohesive and visually appealing environment that enhances the artwork on display. Additionally, I consider factors such as lighting, sound, and interactive elements to engage the audience and make their visit memorable.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I have always been a researcher, and I have spent a lot of time researching and learning. I still continue to read, research, and travel. My passion for research and learning has been a driving force in my career as a media lab entrepreneur. I believe that staying curious and constantly expanding my knowledge allows me to stay at the forefront of innovation in the field. By dedicating time to reading, researching, and traveling, I ensure that I’m always exposed to new ideas and perspectives, fueling his ability to create groundbreaking transdisciplinary art projects.

Since I work in the field of technology and science, I feel like I am swimming in the ocean. I encounter new information every day in the face of constantly developing technology, and I am working on how to combine it with art. For many years, I have been attending conferences and festivals related to my profession, visiting exhibitions, working with artists from different cultures, and trying to establish a connection between cultures. I do this by reading, traveling, and researching.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

When I’m feeling overwhelmed, I usually change my environment and focus on a different subject. Sometimes I need to divert myself for an entire day, and other times I can recover in an hour. I try to remain calm, but no matter what the difficulty is, I always smile. I strive not to lose my positive energy, and I attempt to be patient and understanding. Maintaining a positive mindset helps me navigate through challenging situations. I remind myself that setbacks are temporary and that I have the ability to overcome them. Additionally, seeking support from loved ones or engaging in activities that bring me joy also aids in restoring my energy and resilience.
Always think positively, and things will work out, is my advice. Positive thinking can have a powerful impact on our mindset and overall well-being. It can help us maintain a hopeful outlook even in challenging situations, enabling us to find creative solutions and opportunities for growth. By embracing positivity, we invite more optimism and resilience into our lives, increasing the likelihood of achieving success and happiness.
