On 19 May 2021, Euromersive Turkey hosted a panel of innovative artists working with XR mediums for a discussion of their work and what inspires them to experiment with emerging immersive technologies.
While immersive works of art have long been featured in major museums and galleries, the lockdowns have seen an emerging trend of virtual exhibition. This comes with new opportunities but also new compromises. This will be just one of the topics discussed at this immersive artist event.
Featuring Meltem Sahin and Can Buyukberber, artists in Turkey working with immersive technologies, and to friend and XR artist Tim Deussen. Digital art curator Esra Özkan moderated this panel with these three creators on their experiences working with AR and VR technologies on behalf of Euromersive Turkey, the association for XR in Turkey and a member of #euromersive, the federation of European XR professionals.
